New Indian ambassador appointed to Turkmenistan

The Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced the appointment of Bandara Wilsonbabu as the country's new Ambassador to Turkmenistan, according to the news website Asmannews.

Previously, B. Wilsonbabu represented India in Madagascar and also served as joint secretary in the department responsible for relations with the Eurasian region.

According to official data, the diplomat will soon take up his duties. He will replace Madhumita Hazarika Bhagat, who has held the post since February 2024.
