Turkmenistan will host a forum for the private sector of landlocked countries

The Office of the United Nations High Representative for the Least Developed Countries and the International Trade Centre will hold a Private Sector Forum for Landlocked Developing Countries as part of the Third United Nations Conference on the Least Developed Countries (LLDC3), which will take place from 5 to 8 August 2025 in Baku. This was reported by the news agency Orient.

According to the source, the forum will feature high-level speakers, thematic sessions, parallel events, as well as networking and exhibition areas.

The main discussions will focus on trade, technology, infrastructure and investment aimed at supporting sustainable development in low-income countries. The first thematic session, ‘Trade and Transit,’ will feature a speech by Umberto de Pretto, Secretary General of the International Road Transport Union (IRU).
