Turkmenistan and Russia celebrated the successful strengthening of their partnership

On 7 October, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a telephone conversation with President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. This was reported by the news website Asmannews.

The President of Turkmenistan congratulated Vladimir Putin on his birthday, wishing him health and success, and emphasised the strategic nature of Turkmen-Russian relations, based on equality and mutual respect.

The Russian President thanked him for his congratulations and noted Serdar Berdimuhamedov's contribution to strengthening cooperation, conveying warm wishes to the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

The parties noted the successful development of cooperation in a wide range of areas and active contacts with Russian regions. Serdar Berdimuhamedov invited Vladimir Putin to participate in the Forum of the International Year of Peace and Trust, which will be held on 12 December in Ashgabat.

The Russian President expressed his gratitude for the invitation and emphasised the importance of Turkmenistan's policy of positive neutrality for stability in the region.

At the end of the conversation, the Presidents exchanged good wishes and emphasised the friendly nature of relations between the two countries.
