On 16 September, Turkmenistan's Foreign Affairs Minister Rashid Meredov met with the Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Talal Abdulsalam Al-Ansari. This was reported by the press service of the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Turkmenistan.

The interlocutors discussed the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation in the political, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres. The importance of mutual visits at the highest level and interaction within international organisations, in particular the UN, was emphasised.

Special attention was paid to the development of inter-parliamentary ties, strengthening contacts between foreign ministries, as well as improving the legal framework and implementing the agreements reached.
