A meeting between high-ranking representatives of Turkmenistan and the UAE dedicated to transport cooperation took place in Ashgabat. This was reported by the news website Turkmenportal.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Mammethan Chakiyev discussed prospects for cooperation with the UAE Ambassador to Turkmenistan Ahmed Al Hameli and the delegation of ‘Etihad Rail’. The Minister of Railway Transport of Turkmenistan Mammet Akmamedov also took part in the negotiation.

The parties looked at ways to strengthen their partnership in logistics and rail transport. ‘Etihad Rail’ is a key operator of the UAE's rail network and is involved in major infrastructure projects in the region.
