The National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, held bilateral negotiations with Abdul Ghani Baradar, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Afghanistan for Economic Affairs. This was reported by the news agency ‘Turkmenistan: Golden age’.

During the meeting, the Afghan side emphasised that the good-neighbourly relations between the two states are based on shared cultural and spiritual values, as well as the close historical ties between the Turkmen and Afghan peoples.

Abdul Ghani Baradar noted that Turkmenistan’s peaceful foreign policy contributes to sustainable development in the region, and expressed his gratitude for the regular humanitarian aid provided to Afghanistan by the Turkmen side.
