During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on topical issues on the regional agenda, including water cooperation, cross-border interaction, and the implementation of large-scale energy and transport projects.
The European side noted the importance of the EU-Central Asia regional platform on Afghanistan and expressed interest in the practical steps being taken by countries in the region to strengthen cooperation.
Particular attention was paid to the implementation of the TAPI (Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India) gas pipeline project, which aims to connect energy suppliers and consumers in Central and South Asia.
