Turkmenistan took part in the annual interregional meeting of the PCCP

A delegation from Turkmenistan, led by the Deputy Chairman of the State Customs Service, took part in the Tenth Annual Interregional Meeting of the United Nations Global Programme on Passenger and Cargo Control (PCCP), combined with the Seventh Meeting of Experts of the Interregional Network of Customs Administrations and Port Control Units (IREN). This was reported by the press service of the Turkmenistan Customs Service.

The events, held in Istanbul, were attended by heads and representatives of customs and relevant authorities from Central Asia, the Black Sea region, the South Caucasus, as well as Pakistan, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and donor organizations.

In his speech, the head of the Turkmen delegation emphasized the country's commitment to international standards for combating drugs and supporting the goals of the PCCP and IREN.

Representatives of the Turkmenistan Customs Service also gave thematic presentations, sharing their experience of the Situation Center and interagency cooperation mechanisms for ensuring supply chain security.
