Magtymguly Turkmen State University hosted the IV International Chemistry Olympiad and the scientific and practical conference ‘The Role of Innovative Technologies in Improving Chemistry Teaching Methods.’ This was reported by IIC Turkmenistan.

The events were attended by about 260 students, young teachers and experts from 12 countries, including Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Iran, Uzbekistan, Japan and Europe.

The Olympiad was held in two categories: for chemistry students and for those studying chemistry as an additional discipline. More than 120 participants became prize-winners, including 57 medals won by students from Turkmenistan, which confirmed the high level of education in the country.

At the same time, the conference became a platform for discussing innovative methods of teaching chemistry. Foreign delegations also visited cultural and scientific sites in Ashgabat, including museums, a science and technology park, and the State Circus, where they saw acrobatic tricks performed on Ahal-Teke horses.
