On 26 September, a festive event and exhibition were held in London with the support of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the United Kingdom. This was reported by the news website Asmannews.

The event was attended by Turkmen students from British universities, citizens of Turkmenistan living in London, representatives of the ‘Galkynysh’ branch of the Humanitarian Association of World Turkmens in the UK, and Embassy staff.

In his speech, Yazmyrat Seryayev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the United Kingdom, noted the country's successes during its years of independence, its effective domestic and foreign policy, and Turkmenistan's legal status of permanent neutrality, recognised by the UN.

Particular attention was paid to the 30th anniversary of permanent neutrality and the upcoming forum in Ashgabat in December, as well as other events dedicated to the International Year of Peace and Trust.

The event featured an exhibition of books on the country's neutrality and achievements, a photo exhibition of national successes, and a video film about the development of Turkmenistan. Guests were particularly impressed by the performance of folk songs on the dutar.
