From 22 to 25 June, Beijing (China) hosted a stage of the Para Powerlifting World Cup, where the Turkmenistan national team won seven medals, including six silver and one bronze. This was reported by the news website Turkmenportal.

Representatives of the National Paralympic Committee of Turkmenistan took part in the competition: Sergey Meladze, Mayagozel Ekeyeva, Mekan Agalykov, Ishkuvvat Charyev, Bayramgeldi Saparov and Muhammet Hojaev. The head coach of the team is Tahir Shorohanov.

The stage in Beijing is part of the qualifying selection for the 2028 Paralympic Games in Los Angeles.
