Turkmenistan plans to actively develop its metallurgical sector. This is evidenced by a Memorandum of Understanding signed with the Austrian company ‘Primetals Technologies Austria GmbH’. This was reported by the news website Turkmenportal.

The document was signed between the Ministry of Industry and Construction of Turkmenistan and ‘Primetals Technologies Austria GmbH’ as part of the Turkmenistan Investment Forum (TIF 2025), which took place in the ‘Avaza’ National Tourist Zone.

‘Primetals Technologies Austria GmbH’ specialises in the design, development and supply of equipment for metallurgy, and also offers solutions in the field of automation and digitalisation of production processes. The company operates in both the ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgy segments, as well as in the field of metal processing.

The signed Memorandum will enable Turkmenistan to gain access to modern technologies and expand the potential of the national metallurgical industry.
