Turkmenistan and Vietnam discussed the development of bilateral cooperation

On 11 August, Nazarguly Shagulyev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Belarus, met with Nguyen Van Chung, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to Belarus. This was reported by the news agency Orient.

During the negotiations, the parties discussed the development of bilateral and international cooperation, noting the positive dynamics in the economy, politics, culture and humanitarian sphere.

N. Shagulyev emphasised the role of Turkmenistan as a reliable partner and recalled the country's international initiative to declare 2025 the International Year of Peace and Trust, as decided by the UN General Assembly. The Head of the diplomatic mission also spoke about the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries held in Turkmenistan.

The Vietnamese Ambassador expressed gratitude for the meeting and confirmed his intention to develop cooperation with Turkmenistan, highly appreciating its contribution to international trust and peacekeeping initiatives.
