Turkmenistan and Eswatini discussed key areas of cooperation

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a meeting with the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Eswatini, Russell Dlamini, who arrived in Ashgabat to participate in the International Forum dedicated to the International Year of Peace and Trust, the International Day of Neutrality, and the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality, AsmanNews reports.

Russel Dlamini expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and conveyed confidence that the forum would serve as a platform for discussing key international issues. He also extended greetings and congratulations from the King of Eswatini, Mswati III.

Serdar Berdimuhamedov conveyed reciprocal wishes to the monarch and emphasized the importance of Eswatini’s delegation participating in the forum. According to him, the event would help strengthen international dialogue, trust, and the search for common approaches to contemporary challenges.
The sides noted that developing cooperation with African countries is one of Turkmenistan’s foreign policy priorities. Diplomatic relations with Eswatini were established recently, creating a foundation for expanding interaction.

The head of state highlighted that Turkmenistan and Eswatini have significant opportunities for cooperation within international structures, primarily within the UN framework. He expressed readiness to consider specific proposals for developing the partnership.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the sides confirmed their mutual interest in further strengthening bilateral relations and exchanged best wishes.
