Turkmen delegation held bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the 17th ECO Summit

Important bilateral meetings of the Turkmen delegation took place on 4 July, within the framework of the 17th Summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO). Turkmenistan's Foreign Affairs Minister Rashid Meredov held talks with Pakistani Foreign Affairs Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar. This was reported by the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Turkmenistan.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of bilateral relations, paying particular attention to the implementation of major regional projects. The key topics were the TAPI gas pipeline (Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India), as well as projects to build power lines and fibre-optic communications along the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan route.

On the same day, a meeting was held with the Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology of the UAE, Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber. The talks focused on the development of cooperation in the energy sector, including promising projects in the gas industry.

These meetings confirmed the parties' interest in deepening effective cooperation and implementing joint infrastructure projects that contribute to economic integration in the region.
