President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov said at the Peace and Trust Forum in Ashgabat that Turkmenistan plans to expand cooperation with the United Nations. According to him, the country expects more active involvement of the UN’s specialized agencies in the development and implementation of national, regional, and international programs, the publication «Turkmenistan: The Golden Age» reports.

The head of state noted that the United Nations views Turkmenistan as a reliable partner in addressing key global and regional challenges, including the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals and the promotion of balanced approaches to international cooperation.

The president also emphasized that growing support for Turkmenistan’s neutrality within the UN confirms the country’s contribution to strengthening stability and security at both the international and regional levels.
