14 03.06.2026

The State Customs Service of Turkmenistan has introduced artificial intelligence technologies on the “Single Window for Export-Import Operations” web portal (tradebridge.gov.tm). This was reported by the IIC.
The new feature became operational on June 1, 2026. It is aimed at automating customs administration processes.
The AI system operates in real time in Turkmen, Russian, and English. Users can determine HS (Harmonized System) commodity codes, obtain information on required permits and authorization documents, and calculate indicative customs duty rates. The project was implemented in cooperation with the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) as part of efforts to promote digitalization and develop the concept of a “smart” customs service.
The system is expected to simplify cargo classification, accelerate customs clearance procedures, improve calculation accuracy, and enhance foreign trade statistics.
