During the regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan on 23 May, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Bayramgul Orazdurdyyeva presented a plan of events timed to the World Bicycle Day. This is reported by state news agency TDH.

According to Deputy Prime Minister, the main events will start on 3 June, when a mass bicycle rally will be held in Ashgabat. From 30 May to 3 June, similar bicycle races, as well as sports competitions, scientific and practical conferences and educational activities will be held in the velayats, as well as in the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag.

After listening to the report, Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the importance of comprehensive preparations for the celebration and instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to ensure a high level of organisation of all planned events throughout the country.
