On 18 July 2025, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan held a working briefing on preparations for the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC 3). The event was attended by Heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Turkmenistan, as well as representatives of the Foreign Affairs Ministry. This was reported by the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Turkmenistan.

Foreign Affairs Minister R. Meredov emphasised the special significance of the upcoming forum, which is held once a decade and will bring together Heads of State and Government, Heads of international organisations, financial institutions and representatives of the business community.

Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister S. Muhammetdurdyev briefed the participants on the programme of the conference, which will be held from 5 to 8 August in the ‘Avaza’ National Tourist Zone. During the briefing, special attention was paid to organisational and protocol issues, as well as measures to strengthen coordination between all participants in the preparatory process.

The participants noted that LLDC 3 will be an important platform for strengthening international cooperation in the interests of sustainable development of landlocked countries.
