Turkmenistan demonstrated the power of its Armed Forces

On 27 September, Turkmenistan celebrated the 34th anniversary of its independence. The main event was a military parade on the square in front of the State Tribune. This was reported by the state news agency TDH.

The parade commander reported to the Secretary of the State Security Council of Turkmenistan, Minister of Defence Begench Gundogdyev, on the readiness of the personnel, after which the Minister inspected the troops and greeted the parade units.

During the ceremony, the National Anthem was played and the Flag of Turkmenistan, a symbol of the country's independence, neutrality and unity, was raised. The personnel of the Armed Forces, including officers, soldiers and cadets, took an oath of allegiance to the Motherland, the people and the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

The parade opened with a flag group, followed by cadets from the Berdimuhamed Annayev Specialised Military School. All branches of the Armed Forces took part in the event, including female military personnel, distinguished officers, cadets from the Military Institute, the Naval Institute, the Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Institute of National Security and the Border Institute.

Particular attention was paid to the training of young personnel, continuing the traditions of their ancestors and modernising the Armed Forces. The parade demonstrated the high level of training of the military personnel, including motorised infantry, pilots, tank crews, artillerymen, marines and fighters from the ‘Türkmen edermen’ special forces.
