The President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, left today on a state visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan. This was reported by TDH.

He was seen off at Ashgabat International Airport by officials of the country.

Upon arrival at Nursultan Nazarbayev International Airport in Astana, the plane was greeted by the State Flags of the two countries and an Honour Guard lined up along the carpeted path.

The Head of Turkmenistan was welcomed by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan maintain a strategic partnership based on historical and cultural commonalities. The parties are focusing on strengthening political dialogue, expanding economic ties and regional security issues.
