President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov addressed a message to the participants of the international exhibition and fair “Turkmentextile Expo – 2026”, which is being held in Ashgabat. This was reported by TDH.
In his address, the head of state noted that the textile industry is one of the leading sectors of the national economy. In recent years, the country has expanded the production capacities of textile enterprises, introduced modern technologies, and increased the output of export-oriented products that meet international standards.
The President emphasized that special attention is being paid to the digitalization of production processes, the introduction of automated management systems, and modern equipment, which contribute to greater efficiency and the creation of new jobs.
The head of state also highlighted the importance of combining national textile-making traditions with innovative technologies in order to preserve the unique identity of domestic products and strengthen their position in global markets.
According to the President of Turkmenistan, the exhibition provides opportunities to showcase the industry's achievements, expand international cooperation, attract investment, and exchange experience. Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed confidence that the event would contribute to the further development of the country’s textile industry.
