President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with Kim Bo-Hyung, head of Daewoo Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd., who arrived in Turkmenistan to participate in events dedicated to Neutrality Day and the 30th anniversary of the country’s permanent neutrality, TDH reports.
Kim Bo-Hyung expressed his gratitude for the meeting and congratulated the President and the people of Turkmenistan on these milestone dates.
The President of Turkmenistan warmly welcomed the guest and noted that he was pleased with his presence at the international conference dedicated to the International Year of Peace and Trust, the International Day of Neutrality, and the 30th anniversary of the permanent neutrality status.
The head of state also stated that the visit of the Daewoo representative could stimulate the development of relations between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Korea. It was emphasized that bilateral cooperation is based on respect and trust.
Major Korean companies have been involved for many years in projects in Turkmenistan’s oil, gas, and chemical sectors. The President highlighted the practical nature of the cooperation with Daewoo.
According to the head of state, the company is implementing a project to construct a new mineral fertilizer production complex at the Turkmenabat Chemical Plant in Lebap province. The President of Turkmenistan expressed confidence that the work would be completed efficiently and on schedule, using modern technologies and equipment.
Kim Bo-Hyung thanked for the trust and favorable working conditions and assured that the company would fulfill all its obligations.
At the end of the meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov wished the head of Daewoo Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd. success.
