An article by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan Myratgeldi Seyitmammedov, titled "Turkmenistan-Qatar Relations: From Political Dialogue to Economic Cooperation", has been published in the Qatari newspaper "Al-Sharq" in Arabic. This was reported by the IIC of Turkmenistan.

The article examines the key areas of partnership between the two countries, based on the principles of mutual respect, equality and trust.

The author paid particular attention to events in October 2026. These included the fourth round of political consultations between the foreign ministries of Turkmenistan and Qatar, held in Ashgabat on October 20, and the participation of a Turkmen delegation led by the Minister of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations in the 9th World Investment Forum. The event took place in Doha on October 25–27.

The article also outlines promising areas for economic cooperation, including the fuel and energy sector, transport and logistics, digital technologies, the agro-industrial complex, industry and tourism.

The importance of developing humanitarian ties in education, science, culture and sports is also emphasized.

The author highlights the role of joint intergovernmental mechanisms in implementing the agreements reached and fostering direct contacts between government agencies and business communities in Turkmenistan and Qatar.
