Turkmenistan's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Afghanistan Hoja Ovezov met with the Chairman of the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), Sayed Mohammad Karim Hashemi. This was reported by the online publication Business Turkmenistan.

The parties discussed strengthening trade ties and the importance of joint exhibitions for promoting the products of both countries. The ACCI is Afghanistan's largest business association, bringing together entrepreneurs and representing their interests at the national and international levels.

Turkmenistan and Afghanistan are actively developing cooperation in the fields of energy, trade and transport, including gas and electricity supplies, as well as projects to build power lines and railways.
