On 30 September, a conference dedicated to the International Year of Peace and Trust was held at the K. Dikambayev Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic in Bishkek. The event was organised by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Kyrgyzstan and the UN Resident Coordinator in the country, A. Grave. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The event was attended by diplomats, representatives of international organisations, government agencies, the scientific community, political scientists and the media. During the speeches, the initiatives of the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, to strengthen international cooperation and trust, announced at the 80th session of the UN General Assembly, were presented.

Particular attention was paid to Turkmenistan's policy of positive neutrality, which has become the basis for regional and global stability. This year, the country is celebrating the 30th anniversary of its permanent neutrality, symbolised by International Neutrality Day on 12 December. A high-level international forum is planned for December in Ashgabat as a continuation of the International Year of Peace and Trust initiative.

The participants emphasised that the above initiative opens up new opportunities for global dialogue and cooperation. Conference guests were also shown a video about Turkmenistan's achievements.
