A delegation from Turkmenistan, under the headship of Deputy Minister of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations Kerimberdi Gurbanov, took part in the 30th Summit on Trade, Investment, Industry, Technology and Geo-Economic Cooperation, which was held on 14–15 November in the Indian city of Visakhapatnam (Andhra Pradesh state). This was reported by the press service of the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Turkmenistan.
The forum discussed prospects for expanding trade ties in the fields of innovation, information technology and clean energy, as well as issues related to attracting investment in these key areas.
During the summit, the Turkmen delegation held negotiations with India's Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu and representatives of the region's business community. The parties exchanged views on possible areas for deepening bilateral cooperation.
