On 22 September 2025, at the 80th session of the UN General Assembly, Turkmenistan's Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov held a meeting with Cuba's Minister of Foreign Affairs Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The parties discussed the current state of bilateral relations in the political, diplomatic, economic and humanitarian spheres, cooperation within international organisations, as well as prospects for cooperation in healthcare, agriculture, sports, tourism and other areas.

The diplomats confirmed their readiness to continue the active development of Turkmen-Cuban relations.
