Turkmen students won seven medals at the Mathematics Olympiad in Bulgaria

From 27 July to 3 August, the 32nd International Mathematical Competition (IMC-2025) was held in Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria, where Turkmen students achieved impressive results. The competition, organised by University College London and the American University of Bulgaria, was attended by 434 students from 52 countries. This was reported by the online publication ‘Turkmenistan: Golden age’.

Medine Odaeva and Nurmyrat Atayev from the International University for the Humanities and Development won gold medals. Silver awards went to Kerim Toylyev (IUHD) and Shabibi Nurjanova (Magtymguly Turkmen State University). Bronze medalists were Batyr Ovezmyradov (Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction), Gurtgeldi Hanov (Seyitnazar Seydi Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute) and Nurmuhammet Gochyev (State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan).

This outstanding result confirms the high level of mathematical education in Turkmenistan and contributes to strengthening the country's international authority in the scientific and academic sphere.
