The national team of Turkmenistan won two medals at the international tournament “Karate 1 – Youth League,” held in Manila (Philippines), according to the news website Turkmenportal.
The winner of the competition was Rayan Gurbanmyradov, who earned a gold medal in the junior kumite category (16–17 years old) in the under-55 kg weight class.
Another medal for the team was brought by Alymuhammet Kakaliyev, who won a bronze medal in cadet kumite (14–15 years old) in the under-57 kg category.
A total of 790 athletes from 58 countries took part in the tournament.
