Turkmen and Uzbek customs officials held a joint training session

The Training Center under the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan and the Customs Institute of the Customs Committee under the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan held a joint training event on June 19. The event took place within the framework of the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding between the two countries and the Joint Training Plan for 2026, the press service of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan reported.
Participants discussed issues related to strengthening regional security, improving the legal regulation of cross-border trade, and developing export control systems in accordance with international standards.
Special attention was given to modern methods for identifying suspicious cargo and preventing illicit trade at customs checkpoints.
During the training, issues concerning compliance with international obligations and national legislation in the fields of export, import, and transit of strategically important goods and technologies were reviewed. Presentations of new technologies and digital solutions were also held, and participants exchanged practical experience.
