An International Scientific and Clinical Oncology Centre, a Dental Centre and an International Paediatrics Centre were opened in Ashgabat in the presence of the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov. The ceremonies took place to mark Healthcare and Medical Industry Workers’ Day, according to the news agency TDH.

The programme aims to develop medical infrastructure, introduce modern technologies and improve the quality of medical services.

The day before, an additional complex of buildings for a 400-bed treatment centre was also opened at the ‘Arçman’ sanatorium. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov attended the ceremony.
