As part of the visit of President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov to the United States, a business forum entitled ‘Turkmen-American Business Cooperation: New Opportunities and Prospects for Partnership Development’ was held. This was reported by the state news agency TDH.

It was attended by representatives of government agencies and business circles of the two countries, as well as major companies, including John Deere, GE, SpaceX and Oppenheimer Holdings, and international financial institutions.

Participants were presented with an exhibition of Turkmen products, demonstrating the country's export potential and the results of economic diversification. The American side noted the quality of food, textile and medical products.

The forum discussed prospects for cooperation in industry, energy, investment, high technology and digitalisation. The parties emphasised their desire to deepen cooperation, develop business contacts and expand the participation of US companies in projects in Turkmenistan.

Particular attention was paid to the activities of the Turkmenistan-USA Business Council and the possibility of expanding partnership in the field of renewable energy and infrastructure modernisation. During bilateral meetings, specific areas of mutually beneficial projects were considered.

The forum confirmed the interest of both countries in strengthening economic dialogue and launching new long-term initiatives.
