President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev spoke at a ceremony held as part of the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC 3) taking place in the ‘Avaza’ National Tourist Zone. This was reported by IIC Turkmenistan.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev thanked the international community for its attention to the problems of landlocked countries, noting the need for joint efforts to overcome limited access to markets, high logistics costs and dependence on neighbouring countries' infrastructure.
The President of Uzbekistan announced that the Seventh Consultative Meeting of Central Asian Leaders would be held in Tashkent in November. In his speech, Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasised the importance of regional cooperation in the fields of economy, ecology, energy and water resources, and noted Uzbekistan's contribution to the development of trade, transport and ‘green’ energy.
The President of Uzbekistan expressed confidence in the effectiveness of the Consultative Meeting as a platform for developing strategic decisions against the backdrop of modern geopolitical challenges.
