The President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron, sent a congratulatory letter to the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, on the occasion of the country's Independence Day. This was reported by the state news agency TDH.

In his letter, the French President expressed his sincere congratulations and wishes for happiness and prosperity to the Turkmen people. The letter pays particular attention to the strong bilateral ties between the countries, based on their commitment to the principles of the UN Charter and multilateral cooperation.

Emmanuel Macron also expressed hope for further development of cooperation and implementation of projects initiated during the official visit of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, which was held in France on 5 May.
