At the International Forum in Ashgabat dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, stated that people’s diplomacy should strengthen the work of official diplomacy. This was reported by the state news agency «Turkmenistan: Golden Age».

The Hero Arkadag emphasized that the implementation of the concept of Peace and Trust requires not only traditional diplomatic mechanisms but also interparliamentary formats, as well as initiatives involving the participation of women and youth.

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov recalled that in recent years Turkmenistan has held a number of major international and regional events in this area. According to him, people’s diplomacy has additional opportunities to influence political decisions and can effectively complement official channels.
