On 28 June, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, held a series of meetings with the Heads of major foreign companies who arrived in the country on a working visit. This was reported by the state news agency TDH.

The highlight of the day was the presentation of a certificate to Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov awarding him the highest degree of mastery in taekwondo – 9th dan. The ceremony was attended by the Head of the South Korean Kukkiwon Taekwondo Federation, Jeong Kapkil, who noted the significant contribution of the Turkmen leader to the development of mass sports and his role as an inspiring example for the younger generation.

In response, Hero Arkadag emphasised that he regarded this high award as recognition of the efforts of the entire Turkmen taekwondo school and reaffirmed his commitment to providing comprehensive support for sport in the country.
