The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, congratulated the Hero of Turkmenistan, poet and mentor Amangozel Shagulyeva on her 85th birthday, noting her outstanding contribution to the development of national literature and culture. This was reported by the state news agency TDH.

Hero Arkadag emphasised that the poet's work occupies a special place in the spiritual life of Turkmenistan. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that her works have been published in the press, broadcast on television and radio, and have gained wide recognition among readers.

The National Leader of the Turkmen people recalled that A. Shagulyeva had been awarded the high titles of ‘Türkmenistanyň Gahrymany’ (‘Hero of Turkmenistan’) and ‘Türkmenistanyň halk ýazyjysy’ (‘People's writer of Turkmenistan’), the Magtymguly International Prize and other state awards.

The Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty also noted her contribution to the mentoring and education of young writers, and linked the maturity of her work to the period of prosperity of independent Turkmenistan.
