On 7 November, a meeting of the Research Centre for the Study of the Works of the Great Turkmen Poet and Thinker Magtymguly Pyragy, operating under the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Turkey, was held in Ankara. This was reported by the news agency ‘Turkmenistan: Golden age’.

The event was attended by scientists, literary scholars and representatives of Turkish cultural circles. At the meeting, the results of the Centre's work for 2024-2025 were summarised and plans for the future were discussed: joint research, the publication of new works and the holding of international conferences dedicated to the poet's legacy.

Books and articles about the life and work of Magtymguly Pyragy, published in Turkey, were also presented, which strengthen cultural ties between the countries and promote Turkmen culture on the international arena.

Special attention was paid to the symbolism of the event: it took place in the year of the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality and the International Year of Peace and Trust, proclaimed on the initiative of the country, which reflects the ideals of peace, friendship and cooperation close to the humanistic principles of Magtymguly Pyragy.
