The international seaport of Turkmenistan is increasing its cargo turnover

The international seaport of Turkmenbashi continues to increase its cargo turnover, confirming its strategic role in transport and logistics links between Asia and Europe. According to the results of the first half of 2025, the total cargo turnover of the port amounted to 4 million 209.5 thousand tons, including 2 million 608 thousand tons of cargoes arriving at dry cargo berths and 1 million 601.5 thousand tons of petroleum products. This was reported by the IIC.

At the same time, the volume of export cargo traffic reached 2 million 91.68 thousand tonnes, imports - 620.803 thousand tonnes, and transit - 569.605 thousand tonnes. The main destinations for cargo traffic remain Russia, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Kazakhstan.

Improvements to the logistics infrastructure and the introduction of digital document management technologies are helping to increase the port's efficiency. These measures create favourable conditions for customers and strengthen the transport and logistics potential of the entire region.
