On 14 November 2025, a telephone conversation was held between the Foreign Affairs Minister of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, and the Foreign Affairs Minister of Romania, Oana Toiu. This was reported by the press service of the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Turkmenistan.

The interlocutors discussed the current state of bilateral cooperation and prospects for its further development, noting mutual interest in strengthening cooperation in the political, trade, economic and humanitarian spheres.

During the conversation, the ministers also exchanged views on preparations for the International Forum on Peace and Trust, scheduled for 12 December this year in Ashgabat.
