On 7 March, a telephone conversation took place between Rashid Meredov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, and Jeyhun Bayramov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The parties discussed the situation in the Middle East, emphasising that international disputes should be resolved exclusively by peaceful and diplomatic means based on international law.

The interlocutors also exchanged views on humanitarian issues in the region.
