The EU Delegation to Turkmenistan has launched a ‘Back to School’ campaign, a charity initiative for children with disabilities and families in difficult circumstances. This was reported by the news website Turkmenportal.

In cooperation with the organisations ‘Keyik Okara’ and the Centre for Support of People with Disabilities in Turkmenistan, 50 children received school kits.

The handover was attended by the EU Ambassador to Turkmenistan, Beata Peksa, who emphasised the importance of education for the development and self-fulfilment of children. The festive programme with games and entertainment was organised by the ‘Rishat’ agency.

The EU Delegation noted that this initiative aims to ensure equal opportunities for education and development for all children.
