On 28 November, Turkmenistan's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Italy, Toyly Komekov, held a meeting with Fabio Cassese, Diplomatic Adviser to the President of Italy. This was reported by the online news resource TerraNews.

The negotiations focused on the implementation of agreements reached during the October visit of President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov to Italy, as well as the expansion of cooperation in international organisations and in the political, cultural, scientific and economic spheres in 2026.

The role of Turkmenistan's UN-recognised neutrality as an important factor in regional stability was highlighted separately.

F. Cassese conveyed greetings to the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President of Turkmenistan, and wished success for the International Forum on 12 December in Ashgabat.

Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their commitment to maintaining active dialogue and strengthening bilateral relations.
