Dmitry Patrushev emphasised the importance of the agricultural sector as a key element of bilateral trade, noting positive trends in this area. According to him, Russia is ready to increase exports of food and mineral fertilisers to Turkmenistan.
The Deputy Chairman of the Government named ecology and environmental protection as one of the priority areas for developing cooperation. According to him, special attention is being paid to issues related to preserving the natural balance of the Caspian region. In addition, Russia is interested in expanding its partnership with Turkmenistan in the field of geological exploration and the rational use of natural resources.
