Russian-Turkmen professional development courses for education specialists have begun at the Aman Kekilov Pedagogical School in Ashgabat. Around 300 teachers from more than 40 educational institutions across Turkmenistan are taking part in the programme, according to the IIC of Turkmenistan.
The courses were organised by the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan under a cooperation agreement signed in 2024 between the National Institute of Education of Turkmenistan and Naberezhnye Chelny State Pedagogical University of the Republic of Tatarstan.
A delegation of six university lecturers, including Candidates of Sciences and associate professors, arrived in Ashgabat to deliver lectures and practical sessions. Participants include kindergarten teachers, schoolteachers, and lecturers from secondary vocational and higher education institutions.
The programme covers modern teaching approaches, the digital transformation of education, interactive teaching methods, the use of information technology, and psychological support in the learning process.
As part of the cooperation, seven teaching guides and specialised workbooks were also prepared in 2026. The materials are designed to reinforce theoretical knowledge and support teachers’ continued professional development.
