At the International Conference on the ‘Development of the Construction, Industrial, Chemical and Energy Sectors in Turkmenistan’ (CIET 2025), the Turkish company ‘Rönesans Holding’ noted Turkmenistan's achievements in the development of the petrochemical industry, according to the online news resource TerraNews.

A company representative emphasised that the Ahal plant for the production of gasoline from natural gas (GTG), created jointly with Japan's ‘Kawasaki’, has become a global benchmark in the industry, with a capacity of 600,000 tonnes per year.

The first phase of the project was implemented with the support of Japan and became the basis for further expansion. Currently, ‘Rönesans,’ ‘Kawasaki’ and ‘Itochu’ are working on the second phase of construction.

The expansion of the plant will strengthen Turkmenistan's export potential and contribute to the introduction of environmentally friendly technologies in the industry.
