President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin sent congratulations to the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, on the occasion of his birthday. This was reported by the state news agency TDH.
In his message, the President of Russia noted Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov’s contribution to the development of relations between the two countries, his high authority, and his role in strengthening cooperation. Vladimir Putin expressed confidence in the further strengthening of the strategic partnership between Russia and Turkmenistan and wished him health and well-being.
Other representatives of the Russian leadership also issued congratulatory messages. Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin emphasized the development of bilateral cooperation in trade, economic, scientific-technical, and humanitarian spheres, as well as joint projects in energy, transport, and education. Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev noted the friendly nature of relations and prospects for their expansion. Chairwoman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matviyenko pointed to Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov’s political role and his contribution to strengthening interparliamentary ties and cooperation within the CIS.
