A delegation from the Mejlis of Turkmenistan is on a working visit to Porto, Portugal, where the 32nd annual meeting of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly is taking place from 29 June to 3 July. This was reported by the press service of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan.

The forum also includes an event entitled ‘The Year of International Peace and Trust: Principles of Dialogue and Neutrality in Maintaining Peace and Security, Mutual Trust,’ organised by the Mejlis and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

In addition, representatives of Turkmenistan took part in a meeting with Farah Karimi, Special Representative of the OSCE PA for Central Asia. The efforts of countries in the region to combat climate change and legislative initiatives in the field of ecology were discussed.

The Turkmen delegation also attended the opening ceremony of the Assembly and the general plenary meeting, where key challenges and priorities on the international agenda were discussed.
