The National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held talks with French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris to discuss deepening of bilateral cooperation. This is reported by IIC of Turkmenistan.

During the official meeting at the Elysee Palace, President Macron emphasised the strategic importance of partnership with Turkmenistan and expressed readiness to expand cooperation. For his part, Hero Arkadag noted the dynamic development of bilateral dialogue and thanked for the warm welcome.

The talks centred on the prospects of cooperation in the oil and gas sector, development of partnership in transport, construction sector and agriculture. The sides exchanged views on topical issues on the international agenda.

The meeting confirmed mutual interest in strengthening interstate ties between Turkmenistan and France.
